How do I send my milk?
After placing your order, we will send out a breastmilk kit to you, along with a ring sizer if you need one. We only require 5mls of milk to make your jewellery so keep a wee bit in the freezer for now if you’re not ready to order just yet. Once you send the milk back to us we will get it preserved and start the transformation process.
How long will my order take?
We estimate that your order will take 8 weeks to complete. Turning breastmilk into a piece of jewellery requires time and craftsmanship. We promise to keep you updated while you wait though. You can sign up for our text message alerts to receive pictures and updates during the process.
How much is shipping?
For all of our UK customers shipping is free! We want to keep the order process as simple and transparent as possible. If you live outside the UK there is a £30 flat fee for shipping.
Who makes the jewellery?
Our jeweller Heather has over 10 years experience working with precious metal. She has been designing making and selling jewellery in Edinburgh and now has her own purpose built studio. She is uber talented, creative and also an awesome person.
Who makes the breastmilk pearls?
Our founder Vics makes the breastmilk pearls that feature in our jewellery. She spent 12 months perfecting and testing the technique. Having a baby and starting her breastfeeding journey opened Vics up to a whole new world!
What is the Assay office?
We send all of our rings and heavier items to the local Assay office. The Assay office is an institution that provides a hallmark stamp on jewellery pieces to indicate the purity of metal. The Assay process has been around since 1300's and means that each individually stamped piece can be tacked back to the maker. Quite amazing!
